Sal Brinton and Watford Liberal Democrats have set up a hotline in response to the large number of requests for Veteran Badge application forms. We have sent out over 30 just in the last two days.

Sal said: 'The response has been overwhelming, it has been so lovely to hear their personal stories. We have had such a big response that we have now set up a dedicated line for people to contact us. If veterans or their families wish to receive a form they should call us on 01923 677957 and leave a message with their details, we will get back to them as soon as we can.

'Veterans have also written in, one such resident, Barry Wingfield, even included two second class stamps for us to be able to post him the form. Unfortunately he did not include his address. If anyone reading this knows Barry who served in Army Catering Corps and in the Army Emergency Reserves we urge them to get in touch with us with his address and telephone number .'
