Last week our local Labour MP, Claire Ward was adamant that Voting Reform was not on the agenda as she commented on the visit of the Gravy Train to Watford. The Gravy Train is a campaign being run by 'Vote for Change'. They also want a mechanism for removing MPs who abuse their power.

This week however the Labour Party has finally changed track and has announced they are planning a referendum on Voting Reform.

Sal Brinton, prospective MP for Watford said: 'I am glad voting reform is finally starting to be discussed seriously by one of the other parties. We have campaigned for a change to the system for years. Voters need to know that their vote actually counts, and reform is the only way forward.'
