Sal Brinton, Liberal Democrat prospective MP for Watford last week returned to her past visiting BBC Television Centre for a meeting. Whilst she was there she revisited many places from her previous career as a Stage Manager at the BBC.

One of the best sites for her was the TARDIS, having worked on Doctor Who whilst Tom Baker was the Doctor was quite an experience, though Sal remembers that the graphics imagery was not quite of the standard of the current series, and the set often seemed to be rather flimsy! Sal also worked on Grandstand and PlaySchool often being in charge of Big Ted and Little Ted taking them on their outings and picnics.

Sal said: ' Television Centre hasn't changed that much, and it reminded me that I had a lot of fun working at the BBC and have worked on some great programmes. It is also the place I met my husband Tim when we were both working on Playschool. There are some experiences in life that you pinch yourself about and my seven years at the BBC were often like that especially given the revival of programmes like Doctor Who.'
