Rail delays again

10.06.09am GMT Wed 25th Nov 2009

This week local residents have seen yet more disruption to the train service in and out of Watford Junction due to over head power line problems, causing serious delays to passengers. This is on top of a year which has seen trains cancelled because of overhead power failures, staff shortages because of bizarre working patterns, general power failures, and drastic overcrowding of trains.

Sal Brinton, prospective Liberal Democrat MP for Watford commenting on our train service said: "London Midland are giving commuters a shoddy deal. We have had a particularly bad service from this train operator over the last year, they make huge promises of upgraded lines, faster journeys and more trains yet what we are getting is 'special' time tables and over-crowded trains. This is not good enough. I say again that the regulator must take a hand in insisting that they improve the service."
